Craig W. Trepanier, co-founder and President of the Firm, represents business and individual clients in corporate, commercial litigation, and employment law matters. He brings attention to detail, tenacity, and passion to his work.

As a corporate and business lawyer, Craig emphasizes counsel to new and emerging companies. As a labor and employment lawyer, Craig has experience both behind the scenes and representing clients before the courts and administrative agencies. As a litigator, Craig represents businesses and individuals in employment, commercial litigation, minority shareholder rights, breach of contract, unpaid wages and commissions, trade secrets, non-compete, deceptive trade practices, sales representatives, and unfair competition matters.

Craig’s clients are well served by his common sense, perseverance, and sound judgment. Craig has been named a “Super Lawyer” of the Twin Cities legal profession by Minnesota Super Lawyers Magazine.

After graduating from the University of Minnesota, Craig joined Popham, Haik, Schnobrich & Kaufman Ltd. and later joined the 400-lawyer firm of Hinshaw & Culbertson in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Craig opened his own law office in St. Paul, Minnesota in 2001. In October 2003, Mr. Trepanier and James C. MacGillis formed Trepanier & MacGillis P.A. and moved their offices to downtown Minneapolis.

Craig is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association Labor & Employment Law Governing Council.

Craig volunteers his time through the Volunteer Lawyers Network, assisting low-income clients with unemployment compensation claims and other pro bono matters.

In addition to practicing law, Craig is a painter and photographer. His artwork can be seen throughout the Firm’s downtown office.
